We Remember

“Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”
- St. Francis

It’s estimated that around 33.4 million people worldwide are living with HIV/AIDS. There are currently more than one million people living with HIV and AIDS in the United States–over 35,000 of them are in North Carolina.  Since the AIDS pandemic began in 1981,  more than 25 million people have died from AIDS. We honor our fellow North Carolinians who have died from AIDS in by remembering them.

On behalf of our community, clients, volunteers, staff and board, thank you for continuing to support the Alliance of AIDS Services • Carolina. We will continue our work until the cure.
