In the past year we have doubled our service capacity! We NOW provide food to an average of over 100 households a month. When you donate earmarked money, we are able to buy the specific foods our clients need at deep discounts from NC Food Bank & Interfaith Food Network. We need food, BUT more importantly, we need money to BUY food. Without your help, we will curtail our services because we have reached our budget limits. Will your community please help us in this time of need?

The Food Pantry

The Alliance of AIDS Services-Carolina provides pantry services to anyone in the community in need. If you are affected by HIV or of low income, the pantry is here to help.

The pantry is set up like a grocery store with shopping carts and baskets. Depending on what is available at the CENC Food Bank, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, or donated, we carry anything from dry goods, bread, milk, eggs, meats, and personal hygiene products.

The Alliance of AIDS Services-Carolina has operated a food pantry for over a decade, providing pantry services to anyone whom is affected by HIV and/or of low income. Due to the ever-growing need for pantry services, the Alliance completed a large renovation in 2016. The pantry is now set up to resemble a grocery store with shopping carts and a variety of choices. Since the renovation, the Alliance has doubled their service capacity and now provide food to an average of 170 households per month.

The food is purchased from Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and at the NC Food Bank. The Alliance also relies on food pantry donations and food drives to keep the pantry stocked.

Donations are also greatly appreciated. The pantry utilizes canned goods, pasta noodles, rice, hygiene products, toilet paper, tissues, cleaning products, etc. All donations are welcome.

“I love this facility; the people are always very nice and friendly. They provide a great service and the products are always fresh. I leave with a smile on my face every time. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Shopping at the Alliance pantry is indeed a pleasure. Not only is the food of excellent quality, but the personnel that work or volunteer there are very pleasant and courteous. I shop once every month, and I am always grateful and happy to see Marcia volunteer at the pantry. I really enjoy visiting and shopping at the Alliance pantry. Thank you to all those who make this possible. I really appreciate it.”
