IMPACT REPORT

Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina

~ For More Than 30 Years ~

Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina has been leading the charge to improve the health of communities impacted by HIV/AIDS through compassionate and non-judgmental prevention, care, and supportive services throughout the Triangle Region of North Carolina.

Embedded in the Community

Our intentionally diverse staff, including bilingual team members, helps ensure that clients can find a connection no matter their background, heritage, how they identify or their primary language.

We are centrally located in Raleigh (the capital of NC and the largest city in Wake County as well as the Triangle region), with our testing/care and support facility easily accessed by car and public transit.

Relationship building is at our core. Coupled with our staff's compassionate, non-judgmental approach, we are invited and regularly provide HIV/STI testing and resources at non-traditional locations like parks, street corners, homelessness shelters, jails, migrant farmer camps, nightclubs, substance abuse centers, and community colleges throughout central NC.

Know Your Status, Reduce Your Risk ~ Prevention

We provide free and confidential rapid and traditional HIV testing and counseling, as well as Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Hepatitis C testing and counseling at our testing, care and support facility in Raleigh. In addition, our health education specialists also provide testing, condoms, lube, dams, and educational resources one-on-one, at community events, and through health-education workshops/trainings for groups, organizations and faith communities.

Get Connected ~ Get Care

These Care and Support professionals also help PLWHs access housing, food, and other resources while addressing HIV stigma, disclosure, and self-advocacy issues.

In This Together ~ Support

Our compassionate team also help PLWH with social support as well as referrals to community resources, including our C.L.E.A.R. Program and full-service pantry, the "Market P.L.A.C.E."

Choosing Life: Empowerment! Action! Results!  Our C.L.E.A.R. program provides counseling and support to empower People Living with HIV (PLWH) to enjoy the healthiest life possible. We connect clients to HIV/STI treatment providers and programs, assist in navigating to PrEPas well as finding other healthcare services and resources.

The Market P.L.A.C.E. is stocked with everyday staples, canned goods, and fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, and meats. We offer home delivery for our outer counties, and supplements through our Nourishment and Encouragement (N&E) program.

Living is positive.
