Our Mission
Alliance improves the health of communities impacted by HIV/AIDS through compassionate and non-judgmental prevention, support services, and connection to care.
Our Vision
Alliance envisions a community free of HIV transmission – where everyone is empowered and thriving.
Our History
The Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina, (AAS-C) is a mission-driven, 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Raleigh, NC. AAS-C was founded in 1999 as a strategic partnership between the AIDS Service Agency of North Carolina, AIDS Service Agency of Orange County, and Triangle AIDS Interfaith Network. This collaboration combined each agency's unique talents, expertise, and resources to form a stronger, more-effective community-based organization. Now, more than 25 years later, The Alliance remains true to our mission of improving the health of communities impacted by HIV/AIDS through compassionate and non-judgmental prevention, support services, and connection to care. These core services benefit People Living with HIV/AIDS and their families, people who are at a higher risk for contracting HIV including those experiencing poverty, food insecurity, or homelessness, substance users and those who exchange sex for resources.

Our Prevention services include free HIV/STI testing, community outreach, and health education workshops. We also offer navigation to PrEP providers, Mpox education and vaccine referrals, and At-Home HIV tests. Our Care services include medical case-management that connects HIV+ clients to medical, mental health, substance-use, and other related healthcare providers. Medical case-management also helps reduce barriers to care such as transportation and navigating healthcare systems by working with partner organizations. We also provide brief counseling to improve self-advocacy and provider-patient communication skills. Lastly, our Support services include our food pantry, weekly HIV Support group, and workshops that enhance life skills, positive health behaviors, and leadership development.
