At-home HIV testing is an easy and discreet way to test. We are glad you have decided to take a step in knowing your status!

 How to make an appointment:

  1. Email Missel De Leon at info@aas-c.org to set up a virtual counseling session to walk you through the testing process.

  2. You will have to provide your full name, mailing address, a reliable phone number, and a valid email address to the Prevention Specialist.

  3. You will be required to fill out an online form with personal information. A link will be provided to you during the sign-up process.

 How to test:

The following are some instructions to help you through the home testing process. Please read them carefully before taking the test.

  1. It is important not to eat, drink, or use dental products (toothpaste, mouthwash etc.) 30 minutes before taking the test.

  2. You must remove dentures or other dental appliances (retainers, clear aligners etc.) before swabbing gums.

  3. Swab each of your gums only once! Too much swabbing can lead to a false result.

  4. Make sure you are in a well-lit area so you can see the results properly.

After you complete the HIV test there is a 20-minute waiting period for results to develop. You will stay on the zoom call during this time to discuss your results with your counselor.
